Looking to buy a 4x8 Eastern Maple fiddelback/tiger stripe ( not quilted ) veneer sheet heavy figure paperback 10 mil.
Anyone have an online source. I can get one ordered local for 285 plus 30 for ship and tax.

Thanks

Contact Joe at www.veneersupplies.com (http://www.veneersupplies.com). He's got just about everything. If you PM him he'll get back to you promptly too.

Yep, Bill beat me to it. Joe is an excellent first stop--he answers ALL email (no clue how he does it but he does). You're likely to not get a 4x8 sheet (dunno if they rotary-cut such a log)...you'll get smaller ones that you can either slip-match or bookmatch or whatever....

So this Joe is on here? Last name? In order to PM him.

I got some nice paperback 4x8 tiger maple sheets from Oakwood Veneer last summer. They sent photos for my approval before shipping and selected exactly what I wanted. About $200/sheet from what I remember + shipping. Good people.

Thanks, I have emails out. When you get paperbacked veneer is it flat always? Not crinkled? I use 3M Veneer adhesive spray to attach so its not in a vacuum press, so it must be flat. Please advise.

Craig,

May I ask what your project is? I don't know anything about the 3M glue but they do tend to make good stuff.

It's shipped rolled up in a cylinder, so it won't be perfectly flat.
But it won't have the waviness you typically see on raw veneers.

Door an draw panels on 2 cherry framed cabinet.
I used 3M I think 94 ( or 90) grade Spray adhesive for veneers before. The one I used was industrial strength. Worked real nice an easy.
