I keep seeing everyone ask for pictures so here's and attempt. If this doesn't work I'll be asking Chris Pidilla for computer help (think he knows how?)

Cecil, don't know if you had any help with posting the pics, but you certainly do NOT need any help in the execution of your woodworking abilities! :D Very, very nice! :) I especially like the table in the top pic. Keep 'em comin'!

Cecil,

Walnut I'm sure, my favorite wood. How did you finish it? Looks beautiful!

Your pictures are a little too large to fit in the page, i.e., you have to scan right/left to see the whole picture. Your pixels are at 800x600 and should be something like 640x460. A lot of the SMC users use PIXresizer (search the web) to make the picture smaller, but I've yet to master it. I use Window Explorer to resize mine.

Regards, Joe

Cecil,
Though from Wisconsin, I've been a Cub fan since before they won their last World Series. ;) When I look at your pics, all I can think of is Harry Carey yelling, "HOLY COW!!". Nice work, guy, and WELCOME to the CREEK!! :)

With regard to Chris (aka San Josey), how can anyone who sits on the beach all day consuming Bahama Mamas and watching "California Girls" know anything of value. ;) Don't let the EE degree fool you. He has probably forgotten Ohn's Law and thinks that Kirchoff's Law is some new way to sneeze into a rag. Don't even ask him to comment on Thevenin's Theory! :D :D ;)

Sorry, Cecil, but facts are facts. Once again, WELCOME TO THE CREEK!! :)
Thanks for the GREAT pictures! :)

Dale T.

Joseph (Joe?) I sprayed a base of super-blond shelac, followed by 4 coats of Min-Wax sanded w/320-600 grit, then rubbed out. And yes, it's Walnut. That and Mahogany are my favorate woods to work in.

Beautiful furniture! I'm suffering from withdrawal seeing all of the good work everyone on the Creek does. I have to get my garage/shop back together so I can start a new project!

I will add my welcome to the list. You do nice work. But now we will expect pictures every week. So you will have to stay up late and get things done for us.:D

Well I now feel inadequate... ;) Nice work and thanks for sharing... love the first one. How long did it take you to complete it? Anything less than a month I will need to hold a garage sale ;) Welcome to the Creek :D

Michale,

Thank you and everyone else for the kind words. It is really difficult to give you a time frame on the small liabrary table since the project went in fits and starts. M&T legs and cut out was about a day and another day and a half sanding and scraping. Most of it is straight forward, however the lower shelf is held in place with dowels--two 90 degree intersections male and female-- and doing the jig for that was a full weekend.

Great work!!! You may be relatively new to SMC, but you obviously have been around wood for awhile!!
