Been so busy with HF's lately I was looking forward to doing some lidded boxes (my favorite type of turning). First is 3X3.5 with a five pedal flower carved into the top.The other is a simple "domed" top shape about 4.75X4.5. Finished with DO...Bill..

I like them both. Completely different styles, but they are both very pleasing.

William, I like boxes no matter what so they get a good grade from me! I have some roughed out and ready, but it seems like I get on to other things instead of them!

Great job,

Jeff

Pretty nice boxes Bill, love the way you choose the light and dark heartwood dividing the box and the 5 petal flower form on the lid, the domed box is Elm for what I can see, almost a sugar bowl type shape to it, a very earthy shape, nice

Bill:
Love the boxes! I have been making some boxes from green wood and drying them like bowls. I am reading and studying Richard Raffan's box book. One of these days, maybe, I would like to make some as nice as yours.
Great job!

All the best.

Nice work on both boxes Bill! First one sure has a lot of detail work in it! Good form and the flower on top really sets it apart! The domed box has a real organic feel to it! Nice flow to the form!
