If you look at enough online auctions, you develop a sort of perverse enjoyment in finding these.

You have to give the guy credit for trying. And it does look like it's in good condition. As if anyone is really interested, but he is also asking $26.05 for S&H to my zip code. I paid $20 S&H once, for a No. 7.

The implication is that it is a type 11 #3. The only problems are: high front knob instead of the correct low one, a late 1960s tote (based on shape), the brass adjuster should be of the old small style not the newer larger one, and the lever cap is from a much later plane. All in all, it's what we sometimes describe as a Frankenplane, made up from collected parts. Oh yeah, the price is just a slight bit above current market.:rolleyes:
