just finished this up made from makore ebony inlay wenge handles and sycamore drawers used oil/varnish finish 6 coats this was my first try at dovetailing the case together learned allot rest was domino's no fasteners used besides the drawer slides and fronts

the side panels did not start out to be that way but the piece of 8/4 figured makore was a bit short so i had to figure a way to stretch it

i made them they took way to much time i may buy the next ones

This is an excellent piece, all the way from the design to the wood used, the details are amazing and the finish looks great. Fantastic job!!

Makes me want to step back and design a few pieces that are totally different than anything I have dome before.

the drawers are sycamore not the fronts those are makore

I'm curious why the front, back and side panels are all different? While I admire the execution, it feels as if you ran short on wood and had to use whatever was on hand.

the back panel is plywood no reason to use makore there the sides are figured makore i didn't have long enough 8/4 for them so i did that pattern i think it looks better then straight in that piece i want the front to stand out so i used the most figured for it the rest of the case i used some non figured because i didn't want to overwhelm the case with to much figure i wanted the focal point to be the drawer fronts
