Looking at my Delta 28-276 bandsaw, I noticed that where the 2 frame halves meet (at the really big bolt), the halves arent square to each other...the rear lines up but the front is off by about 3/16".

My question is if I should loosen the bolt and align them correctly. I think i should, as I think it might be affecting the tracking of the blade (blade rides more on the outside of the lower wheel while perfectly centered on the upper wheel).

Figured Id ask, as Ive never seen this referenced anywhere

If you loosen the bolt and adjust things, the wheels won't be aligned anymore. Leave it be.

actually the whole thing wont move anyway, there are alignment pins where the halves meet.

The wheels are actually off, and Im guessing it might be because of the pins being out of alignment. Someday Ill worry about it enough to pull the lower wheel and shim it out.

Try adjusting the lower wheel in or out on the shaft.

Yeah, I pulled the lower wheel nut but the wheel looks like its pressed on. I dont think I have a puller that will work so for now it remains the way it is.
