This is the model Wood magazine rated Top Tool but i can't find anyone who sells it. It's not even listed on the General website.

I Really like the tilt feature!

Did you try the Woodsmith store? They are a major General dealer in the US.

Brian,

This is a link for the "M" model, but these guys may be able to get you the "T". Cheers, Dave.

You might try Wilke Machinery up in York, PA. They handle General's products even though they don't show the small mortiser in their website. They do have General's $5,239 one though.....

Phone number is: 800-235-2100

You cannot buy one yet. I work for one of the largest General dealers around and I am good friends with one of Generals top sales men, I have asked him about the new mortiser several times, I don't expect anyone to have stock for at least another month.

Wood magazine really jumped the gun in reviewing it early. I cannot tell you the emails I have received at working with people wanting to buy one, and of course I have to tell them the same thing, wait another month.

Actually it's the same company but they use the GI name to indicate tools sourced from overseas whilst General is reserved for the tools they manufacture in Canada. You can check them out at their website: General's Website (http://www.general.ca)
