I went to Woodcraft after work today to partake in their 10/15/20% off sale.
Not sure how much I saved, but I spent $210.00. I'm well stocked up on pen kits, key chain kits, wine stopper kits, and acrylic blanks. Now all I need is shop time, they didn't offer that on sale today. Would never know the economy is suffering by visiting that store. Place was packed.

Same here at our store. They had 3 separate classes going on and the rest of the store was packed. I'm with you, I saved money but my wallet was still over $100 lighter when i departed. Should be enough to keep me busy for a little while.

I hit two stores and left 776 dollars lighter in the wallet and still didn't get what I wanted so I have to drive back tomorrow to exchange the jet 1220 for the right one with the VS opion the box was missed marked.

I'm glad to see others doing their part. I had big plans to drive to the local WC (an hour away) and pick up a few things today, but we spent most of the day with snow and low visibility. I could see a semi and a car off in the ditch before I even got on the interstate so I decided to save my money for another day.

I left them $800+. Picked up a benchtop drill presss - was tagged at $267 but when they brought out the box, had a price sticker of $229 and then 10% dropped it to $206 - I was happy.

Also picked up Kreg equipment and 6 Jet clamps among other items.

I left about $600 there this morning. And I left a few of the more expensive items off the list since I came home and made a bunch more orders to help supprt the economy. I was actually suprised how few people were there this morning. I was expecting a crowd but it seemed like pretty normal traffic.

Our woodcraft was packed. I left about $80 dollars in their cash register. I could have easily spent whole lot more.

I dropped almost $300, drove 90+miles mainly to go to a RenFair with the family and went another 10-15 miles to stop by the store. It was very busy. I picked up a couple of spindle gouges, a tool rest, spindle steady, some pen kits and a piece of burl. Much larger store and better supplied than the only other (now closed) store that I had been in.

I did mine on line just a few minutes ago. Two weeks ago I was in the Kansas City store and they were having a bag sale. They were supposed to close at 6:00 but still folks there when I left at 20 after. They must draw them in for the sales.

I have done my part for the economy. Spent $400 in the past 2 weeks. Got one of the Steel City dust collectors that were on sale and a bunch of other small stuff. Oh what a difference a duct collector makes!! Maybe should have bought some of their stock, last week:).

My closest Woodcraft is 100 miles away. I didn't get there but I did drop $273 on some kiln dried cherry for a candle table the LOML wants. The wood is in the shop and I'll let it acclimate until next weekend.

I guess I did my part to stimulate the economy to. I dropped around $300 after discounts. Ah yes such is the life of a woodturner.

Bought a Tormek at the local WC. May go back for a few more things, but first, got to check the bank account.

This *IS* woodworking related.

I will NOT be helping the woodworking economy for a little while. My wife's car died for the last time Wednesday on her way home from work. So on Saturday we dropped...drum roll...$20646.00 on a new Mazda 6. I'm sure Barack will send us a personal thank you note.

Ow.
