I do a lot edge banding and sometimes the process can be tedious especially with long boards. The process I have used is to put the board in a vice, iron the banding, remove board and cut off one end. turn it end for end then trim the other end. Put it back in the vice, use the edge trimmer and sand. I saw an end trimmer in Rockller I think and figured $40 was too much for such a device. Then I was sent a DVD from one of the woodworking mags and I watched it. The guy used that end trimmer and light bulb, no a bleekin beacon turned on. The tool would save a bunch of board moving - read TIME! I bought one and man am I glad I did. First of all it works very well. More importantly I don't have to remove a board from the vice and flip it end for end etc. This little gem saves a bunch time and aggravation. The blades that come with it are sharpened on both edges so when the first edge is dull you can flip them around for a new edge. I just thought "informed people want to know" :D

Rockler sells them as well as the edge trimmer.
