I used a couple of threaded inserts and some all thread but, hanger bolts would probably work too. I don't generally hand plane large boards so the inserts will hold fine for my needs. I don't know that they would be appropriate for a serious Neander. I had a couple 1/4" cams in my jig-parts box. This seemed like as good a spot as any to use them.

Definitly not. I stole it from someone else. I can't recall exactly where but I know I saw it in the background of a picture that was posted regarding another subject.
