View Full Version : Saw Handle Making Tutorial

For those interested in making their own saw handles I have written up a tutorial on the topic describing how I do it, which can be found here http://www.backsaw.net/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=58&Itemid=102

The saw is a 14" sash tenon saw, the handle is a Taylor Bros 1850's design.

The back is slit ( and in deference to earlier discussions a tiny drop of loctite was used.. :D )

I used 20 thou plate which is a little thinner than traditional saws of this size, (more normally 25 thou or so) so I am keen to see how it goes. ( I haven't cut the teeth yet )
