Had my tape measure out setting my table saw fence on Sunday, because my measuring scale on the saw has always been a touch off and miscalculating the offset has resulted in more than one bad cut. I always assumed the measuring tape strip and been misapplied. Anyway, business as usual except after the third or fourth cut, I noticed the screw that holds the hairline gauge in place is in a slot, not a hole! Ten seconds later, my fence gauge is now dead on, Duh!

And just to top it off, It'll be dead on for just a few more weeks while I make the time to install my Incra TS-III stuff :D

I will fess up that I did this too when I first got my TS3650. The hairline was slightly off, so I moved the whole fence rail over to offset it. Sure enough the hairline was in a slot. Who needs a stinkin' manual!!!
