Stand for jointer?

Was looking at used machines on CL today and saw this old Delta jointer with a built-in "stand" (picture).

I have a RIDGID jointer and have been trying to think of a way to make the stand less tippy on wheels. Do you think a stand like the Delta's would make a big difference?

I think any stand that doesn't support itself on wheels will make a big difference. You could probably make a pretty solid stand in shop with some scrap and a sheet of ply. Add some levered wheels for mobility and you have the best of both worlds, cheaper and you made it yourself.

But to answer your question, that delta stand looks pretty solid.
