I have a chance to pick up a 1990-era Northstate 8" Jointer (Model CT200) for about $500. Does anyone have experience with Northstate? Where do you get parts? Is the price right?

Danny, there is a distributor in my area that sells Northstate machinery.
They are located in Charlotte, N.C. The company name is Leneave Supply, phone number is (704) 376-7421, give them a call...they should be able to help you with whatever you need for that machine. I have one of Northstate's table saws ( I bought it used off Craig's list), and it works great....no problems so far with it! Hope this helps....Jim

Thanks, Jim. I'll give them a call.

Anyone else have experience or insight into Northstate?

Yes, I have the same inquire about North State equipment? Not much info out there on them. I am looking at the North State Oscillating Edge Sander. Same price and features as the JET OES - 80CS Ege Sander but you can run it 220 and has a 2.0 HP versus a 1.5 in the JET. ??

FYI this is a 10 year old thread.

But I didn’t see it 10 years ago and still haven’t heard of NSM. Obviously another Asian import likely made at the same factory as Jet. Nothing special likely, unless the pricing is less.
