We sold about 25 hats last year and after paying the design fee we lost a few bucks on hats, oh well. Our logo is still registered and we can order hats any time we have enough people who want them.

The problem is that there are so many people who prefer different styles, many like the style you wear Dennis, a soft type denim material with no crown. Others prefer the baseball hat style with a medium or high crown, this is the stlye we ordered last year and they were a middle of the road quality. Personally I would like to have another hat but this time I would prefer the highest quality hat they offer, the cost isn't a big factor to me when I am purchasing only one hat.

Our supplier has a huge catalog full of hat styles, colors and obviously price ranges. If we could all come to some kind of agreement on what we want without Jackie an I having to order 300 individual styles we would be glad to place an order for hats. Remember that when you select a color it should fit the colors in our logo so many of the darker colors won't work unless we have a new design done as a patch which can be sewn on hats, jackets, etc.

Aaron changed the logo at the top of the menu when we upgraded our forum software and has not installed the "official" SMC logo yet (months have passed Aaron) I will attach the proper logo to remind you what the colors are.

The second attachment is the SMC embroidery design.

In spite of the title, I will go for almost anything in a low soft brim style. Having said that, denim andor beige or denim beige combs work well because they don't absorb as much heat from the sun if you wear them outside. A coupla three years ago I wore a dark maroon hat out in the sun on a hot afternoon and I thought my ole egg was gonna get fried.

I do have one question for you though! Where did you find hats with "Stoney's" beer on them.. That's a beer from Jones Brewing Company in Smithton, PA (southwestern PA on the Youghiogheny river about 30 miles south of Pittsburgh) and I thought they only sold locally, now if Daniel Rabinovitz had started the post it wouldn't have been a shocker! When I was a kid their comercial slogan was as follows:

I do have one question for you though! Where did you find hats with "Stoney's" beer on them.. That's a beer from Jones Brewing Company in Smithton, PA (southwestern PA on the Youghiogheny river about 30 miles south of Pittsburgh) and I thought they only sold locally, now if Daniel Rabinovitz had started the post it wouldn't have been a shocker! When I was a kid their comercial slogan was as follows:

That's why I'm here!

Yup! but that was a long time ago. Drank the beer at one time also. Stood outside the brewery and watched steam engine #2101 chuff along one day. Haven't been down to Smithton in a bunch of years but ride past the exit occassionally on Interstate 70. For you racers, it's at the Motordrome Speedway.

The Blue/Blue hats are Cotton Twill as I also belive the Tan/Blue one are. These hats are comfy and nice to wear.

Okay....that makes a total of EIGHT hats so far. We should choose either the Tan w/Blue Bill or the Denim blue as the two color choices and the all cloth style hats are very comforatable to wear.

Just got off the phone with my distributor. Looks like the hats will not be in until Thursday, August 12. I will be shipping on the 13th and 14th. Sorry for the delay. There was some problem with the embroidery.

Just wanted everyone to know that the hats finally came in today. I will start shipping out hats tomorrow and hopefully finish up on Monday. I will post the names of those I mail out tomorrow.

I will be getting another order together for anyone that wants one. We have to order in increments of 12 and I have orders for 4 more so if you still want a hat and have not ordered it's not too late.

I am also checking on sawmillcreek patches and travel mugs. I should have more information in the next few days. I do know that we have to have a minimum of 50 patches and 48 stainless steel travel mugs to place an order.
