I am in need of some heavily figured white oak veneer to match an antique desk I am repairing. Any suggestions for sources for this?

"Heavily figured" may mean different things to different people. However, two good veneer sources are http://wood-veneers.com/ and www.certainlywood.com

Rob -

Not sure where you live, but I buy it in 4x8 sheets (rolled) from Northland Forest Products - with locations in VA and NH (http://www.northlandforest.com/). They have different grades with some more heavily figured than others (different prices). Prices are good, even with shipping. I use them as pretty much my one stop for all wood needs since I am lucky enough to live around 3 miles from one of their locations and the manager is superb - he treats hobbyists just like he treats major customers such as Hardwood Artisans. Plus, you get to pick your own stuff from the racks and they will darn well order nearly anything and have a huge variety.
