I was looking around in an antique shop today and came across a file cabinet with wood roller slides. Have any of you ever seen this before? It had a dado in the sides of the case with about 1" wooden rollers on the back corners of the drawer that rode in the dados. The dado keeps the drawer from tipping as it comes out. The front rolled on similar rollers at the lower front corners of the drawer opening. Wish I could have got a pic.
Those would be just the ticket for a classic piece like a rolltop desk w/ file drawers. I dont like having metal slides showing on something like that, just dont look right to me.
