These are some of my latest round works, been spending some time on a toy box/ blanket box for my new grand daughter so spinning time has been limited. The Cedar bowl was an experiment, scap 2x4 with purpleheart inserts, couple of coats tung oil 6.75" 4.5". The small bowl is from a birch tree my neighbour had, as you can see the worms got it 4.75" x 2". The lidded box is from pallet wood, seems like maple:confused: 3" x 4"

I really like the segmented bowl, Mike. The purpleheart kinda looks like cat eyes. All three are good looking. :)

I really like this piece.
Symmetrical and yet very creative.

I really like them all especially the cedar bowl. Using 2x4 scrap is such a cool idea too. Good job.

Well Senior...you could use a mortising tool.....or a drill and then insert a tenon or a dowel.....
Glue them up and turn them.
That's just a guess on my part I have not read Malcolm's book or the Ray Allen book yet. But I did sleep in my own bed last night!
