I have been looking around on the internet for designs for making our bathroom vanity. I have found several that appear to use posts or columns that have a V cut out of them leaving 3/4 of the post. The wife likes the look and I was curious if any of you could tell me where I might find such pieces in red oak. Thanks for your help.

Dustin,
Give these guys a try.

If you still cannot find what you want you could find somebody in the turning forum to make what you want.
Hope that helps.

Could I use store bought newels and cut the notches in them on a table saw? If so, how difficult would it be to do that?
