plywood mdf combo

I am thinking of building a router table base using scraps. Was going to use 3/4 birch plywood for the sides & front, and mdf on the back.

Any issues to be concerned about in combing these materials?

No issue for me. I have done it many times and have had no failures on pieces many years old. I commonly use dado, rabbet or like type of joint. In other words, I cannot speak to butt-joint assembly with these two materials.
