Well I roughed out some tall vases so I was forced to put the steady rest together. I am going to get some PM paint so it looks like the beast! The wheels are off of a pair of cheap roller blades I paid $6 at a Savers store. The bearings are pretty rough so I will replace them with better ones soon! But it gets the job done for now.

Jeff, I used to be a sheetmetal worker for 25 years so I have lots of friends at the local shops. The angle ring is a 20" ring to match the 20" swing on the 3520B. The base is just some 1/4" plate I had in one of the drawers in my shop. The 3/4" square stock was from a salvaged welding screen that got bent up on a job site while I was still on the job. So this gave me the pieces to cut for the square tube to slide through. The screen had corners and bases that were slip fit together. Like I said the wheels came from a local savers store. The nuts and bolts are all 3/8" and they were in one of the 72 drawers in my shop also! It is all welded together with my little 110V wirefeed welder.

Looks really good Jeff! Not only does it look functional but I really like the way you used holes through out the circle to add texture! Really nice!

That's an excellent looking steady! That's another on the long list of one of these days projects I need to make one of these days.
