I’m not a scroller but there are times when a scroll saw would be nicer than a saber/jig saw for cut outs and the like.

Is this a good deal, piece of junk, or border line?

Bruce,

Looks ok for occasional use. Keep trolling CL - I found a DW 788 up in EM area for $125 and the same day there was one in NE ABQ for $150. I'd wait for another one to show up if I didn't need the tool right away.

I wouldnt bother with it, its just going to frustrate you.

Go download free a program called SNARFER and set it up for CL to search scroll saws and whatever else you want. It will search for you and save you from missing things and time wise it is great.

Yes ...snarfer does a lot more than CL searches as you play around with it. Pretty little nifty tool and free! Enjoy!:D
