I'm headed to Italy next weekend for a short business trip. I can't fit a Minimax into my suitcase on the way home but Is there any Italian hand tool that would make a good memento to bring back? I went to Japan a few years ago never thought to bring back a chisel. Got any suggestions? Needs to be small enough to fit in my suitcase.

Unfortunately she's just a little too big for your suitcase.

I can't think of any tools specifically Italian.
I know Freud's blades and router bits are manufactured in Italy.
Perhaps a good pizza cutting wheel could be used for marking on wood? ;)

Well a pizza wheel would be kinda cool...

Is a Ferrari a tool?

There are some nice Italian rasps and rifflers designed for both stone and wood.

A rasp is a bit more down my price range.

I can't help with Italian tools either, but my daughter & son in law who live in Naples just came back for a visit and brought us some wine and olive oil, both are great. The olive oil is nothing like what you find here.

If you can, check out the leather ware in Florence. Good deals to be had.
