109995 Wood block added to tailstock, drilled additonal holes with screws from inside. Rear spindle gauge screws shown and can be attached. Shape of block was scrap, but wanted level surface for mount.

109996 Wood block added to headend spindle gauge/guard bracket. Drilled holes and screws from underside of arm.

109997 Lamp mounted on tailstock for larger pieces or deep turning.

109998 Lamp at head end for smaller work and work that end.

I only have one lamp, but bought additional bench mount bases. I also have a base mounted on my Jet mini and can use the lamp there as well. Wood is scrap mesquite and someday I may get around to putting some finish on it - it really is pretty wood and definitely strong enough for the mounting screws.

What a great idea! Looks like it should really light up the area! Really good idea! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Tom,

Your pic's have given me new hope for better lighting. My setup has been marginal at best and yours looks solid as a rock and less costly.

We had our monthly Woodtuners meeting on Saturday and I had an opportunity to check on that dual light setup I spoke of - $275.00!? That's a bit much.

Thanks for the pic's,

E

If you ever try this again consider the larger size rare earth magnets with about the same design as long as you have steel. Just an idea!
