Hi all, been lurking awhile, a ton of great information here.

Here's my recent project. Inlaid poker table with pullout cup drawers and a custom chip drawer. I did not build the pedestal, but did add the inlays to the stringer. Inlay work was done with a shopbot.

Jeff, welcome! Glad to see that your looked around long enough to know that we like lots of pics :D That is quite the table. A lot of detail work which turned out really nice.

Very nice work there.

On the hand with the 388AA, if you are playing hold-em you might need those pistols if you manage to get the As in the guy's hat up onto the board and roll over your aces-full with 2 As. :)

:) Maybe THAT's why AA88 is known as the "dead man's hand" (actually it was supposedly the hand that Wild Bill was holding when he was shot in the back..)

Thanks for the compliments guys. I'm really hoping to get to start another one here soon. Had a guy call me the other night, after seeing this table, and seemed real interested in having me do another one.

In the meantime, I'm getting ready to start an end grain butcher block countertop with a mix of domestic and exotic woods for my sister's kitchen remodel.

From one player to another. Nice work.

A lot fancier than my utilitarian tables, I do have a fancy table on the drawing board for "The Hound's Den) my downstairs bar. Unfortunately other projects keep getting moved up the list.

That table is beautiful! Great work. I would hate to deal on that table. I would need a stick like they have at the craps table to pull the bets in and award the pots!....or does it just look massive...:D

That is by far the most awesome poker table I have ever seen. What a fantastic amount of detail. Great job!!

Thanks guys! It is massive. It's just under 4'x8', but it will seat 10 guys comfortably. The padded center sits flush with the racetrack, and cards slide really well on the speed cloth, so you can actually deal from one end to the other (if you're passing the deck) without too much trouble. If you're raking chips from the end, you might need some help from some of the guys in the middle...

We've hosted a lot of tournaments on this size table over the years, and it takes a little practice, but has never really been too much of a problem.
