Does anybody have this sander in a router table?

I have a cast-iron Bench Dog router table that replaced the extension wing on my RIDGID contractor tablesaw. Will the sander fit? How is the dust collection?

I want a spindle sander, but am very short on shop space and this looks good (albeit expensive).

Jason - yes - works like a champ IMO, including dust collection with a shroud under the CI extension. I bought the plate from Lee Valley.

Woodpecker used to sell a router plate for the PC-121. I got mine about 3 years ago because it matched the PRL plate I already had mounted in my table saw extension. The sander works great in this configuration. Saves a lot of space and uses the dust collection mounted underneath the table. You also have the advantage that you can remove the sander from the plate and use it as a hand held unit.

Thanks.

Wow, that's a heck of a dust collection box you built underneath! Got any additional pictures you can post?

+1 I have the same deal but I actually haven't used it in my router table. I routed a hole for it to fit in my workbench. It really needs good DC...something I haven't implemented....

Yes, for most operations out of the table, leaving the plate on works just fine as it gives one a larger footprint.

Other views in the original build thread -- I have added the lift lock "access door" since the original build.

Here's a picture of my dust collection hood underneath the extension. Works really well.
