I have been tripping over this plane for some time...actually it doesn't really get in the way at all. The blade says "Stanley Rule & Level Co. I thought it was a 101 1/2 but it doesn't look like any pics I've found so far. Anybody gotta clue? I sure don't.

That there sure is a 101 1/2. Not worth the quarter on the table with it.....Send it right to me so that you don't trip over it any more.

Seriously, its worth a whole lot more then that quarter in the picture. See http://www.supertool.com/StanleyBG/stan12.htm (Patrick Leach's Blood and Gore) for some info. Last one to go on the bay went for just about $550.00. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=13874&item=6104428018&rd=1.

Since yours says stanley rule and level, it would be an older model, pre 1890. Cool!

Well, according to the first website...it's a ground off 101 (no tongue sticking out). I am wondering if it's still worth more than a quarter. :( Well the good thing is, I didn't pay for it, it was given to me. At least the blade is old.
