A break from turning pens

This is the first thing, other than pens, I have ever turned.

I don't exactly have a HUGE collection of lathe tools so I was kinda limited.

If you're interested, the body is Kingwood, the roof is Bethlehem Olive Wood, the finials are madagascar (sp?) rosewood and the perch is poplar.

Its actually a tree ornament. Not meant for any birds.......

Maybe a yellow jacket or two could move in.
