This is a desk made from curly cherry. It was stained with dye and finished with conversion lacquer. The underside of the top section has 3 lights. The back is solid curly cherry and ship lapped

Very nice! Really like the color. As the cherry ages, it will warm up even more.

Andy, nice work. Why did you decide to dye the cherry? Just curious. Great looking wood and nice design.

The stain was done per request. I would have just like to have left it natural.

This is a really nice piece. I have been trying to design a craft/computer center for my wife. I think after seeing yours I am going to make it out of solid wood not plywood/hardwood.

Let me be the fist to complement the moldings and the inset doors which are not easy! Great work.

Walt All fresh cut cherry is pink. It all will turn cherry brown. Aside from keeping it in an oxygen free environment without any exposure to light, it will darken.
