I am in the process of scanning some old family photos and was wondering if the photo experts on this forum can tell me the best way to store them to minimize deterioration. Some photos were in albums but I removed them from the little glues-in-place holders to scan. I was thinking of some sort of individual sleeves or something. :D

I would think that some sort of archival sleeve would be good, but the most important thing is to keep them out of the light. Light is a photographs worst enemy. You should also talk to someone at a local high end photo shop - one that caters to professionals. They can always recommend specific products and procedures.
