what is your favorite mortise gauge (pin, blade, wheel) and why? or do you mark another way?

I use a homemade blade type and Veritas as well as old Stanley wheel guages. I have used the pin types, but do not like them. The link below shows the guage I made.

I have the large Titemark with the kit of 4 sized mortise blades.

I've never used any other marking gauge, and I know it may be heresy, but I often wonder if I'd like a more classic type of gauge... The small round base of the Titemark is perhaps too delicate and precise for my untalented hands....

Screw adjustable traditional pin mortice gauge.
I have one Clenton, because I like the looks and the adjustment is a joy to use, but the rest are cheap combination gauges with the single finger stabbing marking pin removed - these work just as well - set up is just a bit less fun.
Also have another cheapie with a simple slide instead of the screw mechanism for when I want a little extra reach. Truth be told, though a little fiddly, I find this nicer to adjust than the low cost screw adjusted ones.

I've tried wheel gauges (though not Titmark or Veritas) and they just weren't my thing. I like the bulk of a traditional gauge, and the pins mean I can start and stop at a scribe line or awl prick without trying to guess where I am.

Mine has pins and work fine for me. It is made of brass and rose wood with a screw adjustment for the second pin. Bought on eBay a few years ago. It is a pleasure to use.

Pins can be sharpened to work like fine blades.

Willie - where did you find the brass for yours and how did you machine it?
