"Egg" bowl

My newest "finished" bowl............. This was a squaring cut "slab" from the bandsaw mill when I took some walnut to get cut up. I've got one more rough out like it waiting to be finish turned. http://familywoodworking.org/forums/images/smilies/023.gif

Bowl measures 9" x 8", stand 3" at tallest, 1 1/2 at shortest.

Finish is AO and buffed (skipped White wheel). I left a little "pedestal" foot to make it "hoover"....http://familywoodworking.org/forums/images/smilies/102.gif

Very pretty NE! I really like thw crisp white sapwood. I've often wondered if the slabs from the mill would turn into ne's well. Sure saves a lot of waste when one wants a shallow NE which I seem to prefer...Thanks for sharing this...Bill...

Hé Barry you done a very good job on that little bowl, love the bottom side as well, always look special if you can keep all that dark bark on a Walnut bowl :) :cool:
