Since geting my 7815 router i have really hated the locking collet and after 2 different new collets they would never release unless i backed up the nut almost all the way out. now since i purchased the marc sommerfeld bit sets i wanted to find a collet that would just release without much hassle, after searching over the net i finally found one that just releases with no problems and you can just drop the bit down with no problems (just like i seen on the sommerfeld dvds). they are a little pricy but i no longer have to fuss with them or the bits...

check it out...

the only thing i did not like is the spanner wrench that they sent so i just cut the end off and had it welded to a bent wrench and it worked out great..

Thanks
James

I use these collets for my smaller bits. they work well.
I believe that they force you to use that cheesy wrench so you cannot over torque the collet, but that is just a guess on my part.
