Hello again,

One of my two ceramic, 10amp, 250volt fuses has gone bad and I'm looking to purchase another set. I've checked Home Depot, Radio Shack and a local appliance store with no success.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you!

Just curious. Why do you need a ceramic fuse?

Marty - You'll have to find an electrical wholesale store. These are usually for contractors, but they should still do business with you. This is one I've used in the past: http://www.ttiinc.com/page/search_results.html

You can probably substitute a glass fuse of the same rating. Ceramic fuses won't shatter like glass so are considered safer in case the fuse explodes due to overload. If you are worried about that, you might be able to wrap the glass with electrical tape or place a sleeve of heat shink on the glass. Just make sure it does not interfere with the fuseholder.

Frank,
As they say, where there's a will, there's a way.

You could also try Digi-Key or Mouser... $25 min order, but I'm sure you could find some other stuff (LEDs, etc.) to pick up.
