I'm making a set of bookends out of zebrawood and will be joining the butt joints forming the right angle with 3/8" dowels. I wanted to make sure that my plan to use titebond III as the glue for the dowels is appropriate, as I know there can be issues with certain PVA glues and certain exotic woods.

My stock will be 3/4 finished and I can probably get 5 dowels in the size I'm using (5" square) is it safe to assume I'm going to get enough strength out of these to keep the vertical part of the bookend from flexing or separating under normal use?

Thanks,
Andy

TB III wil work just fine. Zebra wood is not oily like ebony, cocobola, rosewood, etc.

Thanks brandon, I was hoping to do this today and was worried I wouldn't get a response. I appreciate it.
