just got done with this one tonight. it is from a cedar tree that was cut about two years ago so I thought I would make it round

10 inchs tall is "BIG"

The turning community is on fire and this piece needs water quick! The color is stunning to say the least. Very good finish as well!

Dave, Very nice vase! I was driving along the highway over to Rochester MN last week and the power company had cut down a bunch of red cedar trees and left the piles laying along the road. They had been there a while so I was able to get a few of the bigger pieces (12"-14" dia by 22" long) in the trunk of the Ford Focus. You have inspired me to get at them!

Jeff, get all that cedar that you can. it will last forever so you dont have to be in a hurry to use it
