I was turning a small maple burl bowl for my wife. She wants it to be deep, so I used a glue block. Shaped the outside, turned it around and made two passes on the inside and away it went.
Wow, bad catch? No, no evidence of that. The glue joint just seemed to fail. Flat surfaces for the join, but I did use some glue that I've had for quite awhile.
Oh well, just enough time for a shower before the game.
