Does anyone know of a good, easy to apply finish that is waterproof? I have thought about (1) a marine grade clearcoat, (2) marine polyurathane which I have never had any luck with or (3) 2 part epoxy which loves to fly in my beard!!!:mad::mad:
This will be used on some segmented planters for the wife and I imagine the it will keep wet feet. Also planning on using Titebond 3 (waterproof). Would this be a good choice or is there a better one? Thanks for the help in advance.

Check west systems epoxy. It may not lend itself to easy application on the lathe but you can build aquariums with it and it won't get any more waterproof.
