Is there any difference between the Shop Fox W1744S 12" jointer and the Grizzly G0609X 12" jointer besides the paint. Some dealers have told me that the Shop Fox uses better motors, switches, and handles.
I think Shop Fox has a 2 yr warranty compared to the Grizzly 1 yr.
Does anyone know the truth regarding this?
Both seem to be excellent machines, and with a purchase of this size I want to be sure of what I will be getting.
I will be getting a spindle sander as well, and noticed that the Shop Fox table is larger than the Grizzly, and when I purchased my bandsaw the Shopfox had cast wheels while the grizzlies were aluminum. So there are substantial differences sometimes, and perhaps for other equipment it is just the paint?
