Hey folks I am new to the forum and fairly new to woodworking. I really enjoy the forum and have found it very helpful.

I have a question about Ohio Tool Company planes (metal not wood). I have searched the archives but I did not come up with any previous threads. I know that they are basically copies of Stanley, but how do they perform compared to Stanley planes? Any insights would be appreciated.

Thanks

They are like an older Pre T6 Stanley and are OK but not as nice as 1920s era Stanley.. They are much better than no plane at all and made pretty solid......

That is helpful. I have read a bit about Millers Falls, Sargeant, etc, but not anything on Ohio Tool and how it stacks up. Thanks for the reply.
