I'm looking for a good after market band saw fence for a 20" Delta band saw. Any ideas?

Thanks - John

For a 20" saw, you may need to build your own. I had the FasTrak on my previous saw and it was pretty nice, other than some flexing that was taken care of with a clamp when necessary. For a big saw like yours, I would think you'd want something more substantial.

I have the Accusquare on my 15" saw. The webpage says it's for saws up to 20". Used to have the FasTrack on there, but didn't like the flexing. This one is much more rigid. Here's the web link:

Also, on my 24" bandsaw I mounted a Biesemeyer Homeshop fence. It's a smaller version of what you normally see on the cabinet style tablesaws. VERY SOLID! Not sure if this is oversize for your application. It will probably work. It's just that the end of the fence will stick out further from the far end of the table more than you would like. Actually it may be a good thing if you use the saw for ripping like I do. It's not a bolt-on application. I had to cut the rails down and drill mounting holes in the side of the saw table. If you're interested I can post a picture. Just gotta figure out how to do it.

Manny,

I look forward to seeing your BS fence in person in a couple weeks. I was staring at my MM20 table and wondering about an improved fence myself. I figured I would have to make something or buy something and rig it up myself. I do have an old Shop Fox fence that came with the Grizzly TS sitting in a corner covered in dust and spider webs.

Thanks guys, it's not my saw, but I was asked by a friend, sounds like maybe a couple choices.

I'll second with Manny, the accusquare is a great fence. What I like, you can add all kinds of jigs and fixtures with ease. Also easy to adjust for blade drift.

Steve, I really like the way you solved the mobility issue with your machines. Just hook each one to the front of a golf cart. Ingenious. :>) Steve
