I am seriously considering (money permitting) purchasing a new table saw this spring/summer. I presently have a Delta 34-410 contractors saw with unifence/uniguard upgrades. It is about 22 years old and still running strong. It's been a good machine but I would like some of the newer features of the newer TS. A Cabinet saw with Riving knife, 4" DC port, 3hp-1ph are just a few of the features which have caught my eye.

After reading numerous threads here about the pm2000 I started leaning that way until I saw the price. At the moment I think it wiser to step back and look at something in the lower price range.

Another saw that has caught my eye is the Jet exacta deluxe w/50" extension. Has anyone had one long enough to give a critique on this machine? Pros/Cons.

Paul, Keep your eyes and ears open. CL is a good place to start. I bought a very nice Unisaw for $800 from a guy in Sauk City, WI abut 8 months ago. Great deal! The saw had been owned by his father who had passed away. He also threw in 4 table inserts, 4 miter gauges, 3 very nice 10" blades (two of which were Forrest blades), 2 dado sets and a few other miscellaneous items. The deals are there if you look around and are patient.

Thanks Bob - Will watch CL. I also noticed (and can't believe I missed it) another thread with a similar question. Will be watching that thread for responses.
