I found this drill press on Craigslist this weekend and went and bought it last night. It is an older Duro 18" Floor Model Drill press. There is some rust on it since the owner's shop is under his house (house on piers) with not barrier from the elements of Mississippi. The only issue I might have found is the pully above the drill shaft has a slight wobble. I don't think the pulleys are lined up so I will try and work with that tonight. I will start removing some of the rust tonight.

Here are some pics. I paid $125.00 for it.

AWESOME.

Looks pretty clean. It might not hurt to have the pulleys turned if they are wobbling too much.

Keep us posted with progress pics!!

You could scrap it and get your money back. Bet it will be a keeper when all cleaned up.
Now about the Mississippi comment.....

Scrap is so low right now, I doubt you could recoup 1/4 of that price for it.

Hopefully that scrapping comment was a joke. ;) It hurts to even think of good machines get chewed up and sent to china.

Very nice table. Love the shape of it. Art deco ish. I think I would relocate the on off switch or get a foot pedal, as that would be hard to turn off when you are in distress. I am sure you will get it back in shape. Lot's of tool for $125.00

Absolutely in jest. My old 1952 Craftsman floor DP was the same sort of deal. Have to take it down to parts to move it 'cause its so danged heavy. You'll enjoy yours too.
Now about that Mississippi comment....

Bill,

I live in Louisiana and the humidity elements are just a killer. I bought it from a guy that lived about 20 minutes North of Slidell, LA. Having your tools with cast iron in the open even though it is covered is not the greatest thing in the world.
