:DGot to the shop and fired up the chainsaw at 8:00 a.m. Quit at 1:00 p.m. I scored a couple walnut tree's a month or two ago and figured I'd better get to turning it:rolleyes:

Roughed out 3 walnut bowls, 3 walnut NE's, 1 cherry NE (burnt rim), 1 dunno wood bowl, and 1 locust HF.http://familywoodworking.org/forums/images/smilies/023.gif

Dunno wood...... hard as a hunk of granite................

And found this inside a piece of walnut...so changed shape in mid-rough out http://familywoodworking.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Well Chris, send ME that $200 and the mailman will bring you a dozen hunks of anchorsealed green walnut to play with too!

Here's a retired guys Thursday......snowblowed the driveway, cleaned out the chicken coop, cleaned the ashes out of the shop wood stove, hauled a couple days stove wood into the shop, took a dozen eggs to the nieghbor, picked my youngest up at school, helped my cousin work on a small project....:D Yep, another tough day.

What's that black thing behind the lathe...couldn't be a DC hose!!! Looks like your mustard got so happy with the new walnut that it bucked and lost its tail.
