I have a new Delta 3/4 HP motor that was originally for one of their jointers that has never been used. I wanted to put it on CL but didn't know what price to put on it. I looked at what Delta charges for a replacement motor and it's ridiculous...over $300. I would like to list it so it's a win-win for both the prospective buyer and me. Any thoughts?

Round here a decent 3/4HP single phase motor might bring $75 +/-. If it's in new condition, you might start asking more.

Pick a number between $10 and $75. Be prepared to come down no matter where you start. A couple weeks ago, I picked up a used motor at local salvage yard that was in almost new condition for $5. Three quarter horse, 1725 RPM, ball bearing, cap start, NEMA 56 frame. Generally 1725 RPM motors command higher prices.

Thanks so much. That gives me a range to price it.
