New vs old plane frog

I noticed that stanley sells a new frog $15. So here goes what the deal, is one of these as "good" amd buying a vintage one? keeping in mind I would want this foe a plane I would use and not for collection value.

I believe this frog will work on any thing type 10 and later. 1933, according to the type study at rexmill.com, is when this shape was started.

You may do better on eBay buying a used one. The machined surface on this design is much smaller in the blade support area than on the previous frogs.
