I have a dewalt 12" radial saw and was wondering if anyone had a link to find out the year it was made from the serial #. Online I found one that looks just like mine and it was listed as a 1968. Just curious the actual year.
thanks, Mark.

What model is it? I have a 7790 that was new about 1980. Square top, the round tops are older.

it's has a squared top with the greenish color. I've seen those rounded ones so I know what you're referring to. I'll check it tomorrow when I'm out there. thanks for the info.

Lee you better rephrase this thread before your wife reads it. I'm sure your's is just as cute as the day you married her, just like mine.;)
Other than the above I don't have anything to add:D

Yeah, I was going to ask how you were going to ask for the first kiss, but......:D
I'd like to have one of those saws, but there are too many other things first. Jim.

OK, here goes:
Dating a radial saw? You gotta get outta the shop more!
or
Dating the DeWalt just to make the Milwaukee jealous?
or
You: "Baby, I can turn you on with the flip of a switch..."
Sorry. I'll stop now. :o

first 2 digits on the motor denote the year of manufacture. A green square arm is a 925, I think and would date between 60-65 or so. 7790's, which continued to be produced until 89, were gray or black.

Some people name their cars. You could name your saw - maybe Sally. When folks ask what you are doing tonight, you can say, "Oh, I'm going to go out and have a beer with Sally Dewalt". :)
