Thats some pretty cedar, sometimes plain is anything but plain, love it!!

I like the figure of cedar but have found it difficult to avoid tearout. You obviously have the skill. Good job!

It's "plain" to me you know what you are doing! Great form finish and the wood has great grain action too...Bill..

Don't care what the wood it is a very beautiful bowl. Just plain Cedar, ha. Cedar is pretty wood and you really worked it nice.

Dave, The varigated colors of red cedar are something to behold! I have a hunk out in the shop that is cut off the base of the tree and has all the nooks and crannys from around the tree. It is real dry and I am planning something for it. I has a ton of light and dark like your bowl!

Very nice, spectacular finish!
