Sad news

Hello,
My daughter passed away this morning shortly before noon.
On Saturday afternoon we had a pleasant 2 hour visit, and she seemed to be holding her own.
Yesterday, she took a turn for the worse, and finally this morning she passed away.

Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers.
So far, we're all holding up.

The Red Cross arranged for my son to fly home from the Sinai, where his NG group is deployed.
Side note about the Red Cross - these people are fantastic!
I contacted them last week, and they had him on a plane and bound for home by the weekend.

Sadly, his flight from Germany to DC was delayed and he didn't make the early connecting flight to Cleveland. He was due to arrive at 6:30 Sunday evening, but didn't get in until midnight.

Had he arrived on the earlier flight he would have been able to call his sister and we would have found out earlier how grave the situation was.
As it was, I let him sleep in on Monday, after his nearly 24 hour flight, with plans on picking him up on Monday afternoon to pay his sister a visit.

I'd gone in to work with plans on taking off at noon.
I guess it just wasn't meant to be.
