A member of our local turning club developed a swing away tailstock for the Powermatic 3520 A & B. I know how tough it must be for some to admit that you own one of these machines,(I have a Vega myself), but I guess we all have our little faults.:D:D:D It has been available for some time now, but I didn't know how many of you knew about it. It looks just like a factory built unit. You can find it at http://www.butlerturning.com/check it out, I think you will be impressed.

I tried it out at a recent ww show. Too much slack and drop for me. Soooooo, I got a hydraulic lift floor at Harbor Freight. Now I can move the tail-stock and/or banjo out of the way, move the whole lathe and any other heavy lifting I need to do. Back problems necessitate new ways to do things.Besides, it is still in the way out there and all that weight presents a problem.Just my .02 cents. Max
